The
library will remain open on all working days between 9.30 a.m. and
5.00 p.m. But the issue counter will be closed half an hour before
the closing hour. At the beginning of the academic year, each student
will be issued two borrower cards which when produced books will be
lent to them. The borrower can retain the books for a maximum period
of fourteen days. The book should be duly returned on the due date
marked on the date slip. |

The
book can be reissued to the same student for another fourteen days
only. The book should be brought to the librarian and the borrower
must get the due date changed accordingly. If the book is reserved,
no re-issue is possible. |

The
librarian may recall any book at any time even before the due date..
If the book is not returned on or before the due date a penalty of
Re.1 shall be levied on each book per day. Sundays and other declared
holidays will be excluded. The fine should be paid in the college
office and the receipt may be produced to the librarian. No excuse
will be accepted for the delay in returning books. |
| Damage
or loss of borrower's card should be intimated to the librarian immediately.
If the librarian is convinced, duplicate card will be issued on payment
of Rs.15 per card. Library cards are non- transferable. Students should
not exchange cards. If any student violates the rules and regulations
of the library, disciplinary action will be initiated against him/her
by the principal. |

The borrowers are responsible for the book borrowed against their
cards. They should ensure that books are in good condition while
borrowing and returning. They should handle the books carefully and
neatly. If the book is lost or damaged the cost of the book shall be
reimbursed with a fine of 200% of the cost of the book. Dog-earing the
book, marking, underlining or annotating, damaging, defacing the books
are prohibited. Books and cards should be returned to the library at
the end of the academic year. |

An Internet Cabin
with two computes is provided for the benefit of students in the
library reading room. |
|
PHYSICAL EDUCATION
A
student who chooses Physical Education should under go a course of
Physical Training as prescribed by the Physical Director. He / She is
required to put-in a minimum of 40 days of attendance in a year.
Outstanding sports persons are given admission under separate quota
for sports. They are also encouraged by providing free refreshments
during practice sessions. Sports suits, Jersey etc. are provided to
outstanding sports persons.

NATIONAL
CADET CORPS
|
|
|
| Cadets
enrolled in NCC shall put in a minimum of 60 hours of attendance at
parades in a year. Further, he must also participate in camps and
other courses orgainsed by the NCC authorities. A cadet once enrolled
must serve for two years in NCC. |
|
|
|
|
|

|
Students
enrolled in NSS shall serve for a minimum of two years. They should
put in 120 hours of attendance at regular programmes in a year and
they should participate atleast in one special camp of 10 days duration.
Their enthusiasm to serve the society will be the only criteria to
depute them to participate in inter collegiate and inter-university
camps.

ROTARACT CLUB
Students enrolled in Rotaract Club will be trained to acquire and
develop various skills such as leadership qualities, professional
outlook and other such desirable skills, so that they can confidently
confront issues that they are likely to face in their life time.
Service projects will be on the critical issues like violence, drug
abuse, AIDS, hunger, environment and illiteracy. There will also be
community improvement projects like cleanups, tree plantings,
community fairs and celebrations.

YOUTH RED CROSS
SOCIETY
Youth Red Cross Society is a group movement for students. YRC
provides opportunities for voluntary community service. Becoming a
Red Cross volunteer is a great way to meet the needy people and help
humanity. The volunteers involve in disaster services, health &
safety services, biomedical services and community services.
